Not Updating TPMS Is Costing You NOW

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

otc3833tqr.jpgIf you haven’t yet invested in good mechanics tools for todays tire pressure monitor systems, you’re in the dark ages. These things have been mandatory for a couple years now and smaller shops are beginning to see the need to deal with them. For the first year or two it was ok to let the dealer shops take care of it since there was still a warranty on the systems but now those first cars are beginning to age and have more and more miles on them. They’re finding their way to independent shops and too many of those shops aren’t ready. The ones that are ready will get the business; even the business beyond TPMS because customers simply want it all.

The 3833TQR from OTC is an ideal place to start looking for that update. It comes with all the latest information you’re going to need and a software subscription as well as CDs of the latest training manuals. Experienced mechanics shouldn’t have a problem with this professional unit from one of the leading automotive tools manufacturers in the country and delay is costing you money.

Turnkey Tire Pressure Monitoring System Kit from OTC

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

otc3833tqr.jpgWhen it comes to being up to peak operating level regarding tire pressure monitoring systems, the Tire Pressure Monitor Master Kit (part number 3833TQR) from OTC is practically everything a shop could need.

Right out front it’s from OTC; these people have been around for a long time and proved themselves to be top quality. Other manufacturers have too but this TPMS master kit goes many steps beyond simply making these accurate and dependable mechanics tools. It’s the “kit” that makes the really big difference here.

What this kit includes is, of course, the TPM tool itself loaded with the latest software but practically everything a shop is likely to need in addition - it’s a real turnkey kit that’s ready to go the moment you open the box. Here’s the list of items you get in this kit:

activation magnet, quick start guide, latest comprehensive reset manual, update cable, CD training video, 6 nM Hi rechargeable batteries and recharging station, backup software CD, digital tire pressure gauge, 4-way valve tool, valve core torque driver, laminated application flip chart, service procedure flowchart poster, consumer poster, and a blow molded case.

Now, just think of what else you’re likely to need to get the job done. You can even comfortably put the new kid on the job and as long as he can read the step-by-step flowchart poster, it’s going to get done and get done right. . . . . AND it still goes even further. If you put the consumer poster in easy sight it even builds customer confidence and removes those pesky doubtful questions and suspicions.

This is a real turnkey system and if you do anything that involves moving tires and wheels around on a car, you need to look very closely at this kit.

One TPMS Tool - You’re In Business

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

bartec-300p.jpgCars with tire pressure monitor systems have been on the road for a couple years now and there’s getting to be more and more of them all the time. They’re starting to become a real factor with automotive technicians and tire service shops as wheels are rotated and tires are replaced.

It’s something that the pros have to deal with. No sense having a TPMS system on a car if the right front wheel tells the system it’s on the left rear of the car and needless to say, your customer isn’t going to be happey either.

Along comes Bartec USA with the answer to the delimma. The Bartec 300P supports replacement of sensors when necessary; it reprograms the TPMS system when wheels are moved to another location so that the car’s system reports accurate data and it turns off the warning light so your happy customer is on his way down the road.

In addition to telling technicians where the problem is, information can be easily downloaded to a PC, printed out and shown to the customer so there’s no question everybody understands what needs to be done.

The Bartec TECH300P is a reasonably priced unit and is ideal for shops doing light to moderate work involving tire pressure monitor systems. You’re going to need it and it’s a top quality automotive mechanics tool available at Mechanics Tool Supply.
