Pneumatic Tools and Their Uses Part 2
This week I’m doing a series on various air tools and their uses. Yesterday we looked at four categories of tools: power nailers and staplers, cut off saws, reciprocal saws, and sanders, grinders, and buffers. Continuing on with this series, today we will be focusing on drills, hammers/chisels, painters, and blow guns.
Drills
Drills are used for just what the name says - to drill things. In order to drill effectively, it is necessary to have constant and reliable power, something that air tools provide. There are many different sizes of drills, such as 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch, making the size available for whatever job you need.
Hammers/Chisels
Hammers/chisels give the operator the ability to remove various types of materials ranging from masonry to metal. When it comes to auto body work, air hammers get jobs, such as body panel crimping and cutting, bushing driving, shearing, and general front end work, done fast.
Painters
If what you need to do is paint something with quick and efficient coverage, an air painter is what you need. These air tools allow you to get into areas that would normally be difficult to get to with a regular paintbrush.
Blow Guns
Blow guns provide a shot of air that allows for quick cleaning in those hard to reach places that would normally be difficult to get to. They are convenient, fast, and easy to use. Blow guns come in many different lengths for just the right cleaning job you need to do.
Tomorrow, we will continue with the pneumatic tool series as we focus on grease guns, inflator gauges, shears, and ratchets and wrenches.
