Vacufill Quick Drain, Quick Fill
The UV570000 by UVIEW is the most economical unit on the market for testing and refilling the engine cooling system. The UV570000 is available for less than $700 (more from some dealers; Mechanics Tool Supply sells it for $689 so don’t pay more for any mechanics tools than you must).
We like this unit, not just because it’s economical but because it’s so fast and easy. It connects directly to the radiator filler neck or reservoir tank and you don’t need to mess with cutting header hoses or disconnecting radiator hoses or any other time-gobbling annoyances. Don’t know why some of the other drain and fill makers want you to go through all that trouble - probably had something to do with childhood problems or something. The design folks at UVIEW were apparently raised with an appreciation for mechanics tools that just do the job and don’t manufacture unnecessary work.
Like all good coolant service units that’s vacuum operated it naturally confirms that there’s no leaks in the system “before” and not after refilling; so you can take the cost of all that wasted anti-freeze, put it in your pocket and keep it. That vacuum technology takes care of the airlock nuisance while you’re refilling too. Don’t imagine anybody will object to bypassing that problem either.
When you drain the cooling system, this unit captures up to 12 gallons of waste antifreeze and when you refill the system, it features a three gallon new anti-freeze chamber that automatically mixes anti-freeze and water and pumps it into the serviced system. It’s just that easy and it refills the system in seconds - with either new or recaptured coolant.
The huge capacity (3 gallons new; 12 gallons waste) means that the UV570000 is up to the job whether you’re doing coolant service the smallest Toyota or a full size truck. Just about everything you need and at the right price too.
